Does anyone know of gyms with indoor pools that I can workout at and swim? I'm new to the area and I've found 2 so far, one is the nassau acquatic center and one is the world gym. I haven't visited nassau acquatic yet but world gym, the pool was not meant for lap swimming and getting a good workout that way. What other pools are in the area? I've tried googling but most it's not a great search.

Thanks!!

NYSC in East Meadow has one.. however, whenever I went to that gym to work out there was always safety swim going on. I think the newer one in Hicksville by the train station has one too.

Does the Omni Building in Uniondale still have the gym with the pool? They did back in the day when I worked there.

Beware Nassau Aquatic before you join, check it out carefully at the time you want to use it....there are always seniors walking in one end and little ones taking swimmimg lessons in the other.

Healthtrax in Garden City might have a pool.

The aquatic center is great. The pool is huge, inexpensive, professional and there are always lanes dedicated to lap swimming. The downside is it is a bit run down and they may be closing for anywhere from the summer to indefinitely (hey it's the Nassau County govt) for renovations/repairs.
