I take the Southern State Parkway to the end of Nassau everyday. I leave for work at about 6:30am. During the school year, there can be days when traffic is moving at a good pace and than their are days when there is an accident or some other type of delays that make the commute long.
Watch News 12 while you are getting ready to go to work so that you can hear if there are any delays. Give yourself 30 extra minutes then it would normally take you to get there. I would rather be at work earlier and get some work done, than get their late and be frowned upon!
