Does anyone know whether Suffolk County (specifically Brookhaven) offer any type of residential bulk pick up of electronic equipments? We've got an old Sony 32 in TV that does not work that we really need to get rid of. The biggest problem is that the thing is so darn heavy and big - so big that it can't fit into the trunk of our sedan hence we cannot take it to the dump ourselves. Any thoughts on how to get rid of it at all?

Won't the town do a special pick up if you call them?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Can't seem to find anything related to special pickups from their site.

Well if you were in Islip Town you could leave it out on the last Wed of a month and it would be taken for you during the e-waste pickup.

Know any neighbors who have an SUV or minivan you can borrow? Load it up and take it to Best Buy. Pay $10, they take the TV and you get a $10 Best Buy gift card.

You could probably just put an ad on CL saying free TV, as-is, and put it out on the curb.

It'll be gone in an hour or two.
