It's all about the drinks. But even more than that is the choice. People like variety. Even if you like crappy fastfood, you have a choice of many places. I've been to a few before(Missouri & Florida) as a change of pace but it was never one of my first choices.

Why is it that everyone laments the disappearance of drive-in movies when the picture and sound quality were always sub-standard? There's something neat and sort of retro about having the entire dining experience brought to your car. The food isn't great but it isn't inedible either and I can feed a family of four for about $25.

As for All American, I never really got it when I lived on Long Island. We have Char-Grill, a regional chain where I live now that looks a whole lot like All American and is at least a little bit better in my opinion. I think if you put All American in a boring, cookie cutter store front they lose half their customer base.

yea, it closed just as fast as it opened. too much competition in pequa when it comes to burgers, especially $5 burgers.

There's a new one on Middle Country Road in Centereach too. They're all over the place, most will probably be out of business in 2 years. I hope Frank-N-Burger isn't.

Frank-n-Burger's been around about 2 years so it might make it compared to some of the newcomers I've seen (that Centereach one, KB's Burger Shack in Patchogue Village, that place in Coram).
