New $25G reward in Gilgo serial killings
Top Stories Item

Quote:
Hopeful it will provide even more incentive for someone to come forward with information about the killers who dumped bodies along the Ocean Parkway , police have announced the largest reward ever offered by Crime Stoppers in Suffolk County -- $25,000.

...

Police believe that at least two killers are responsible for the finds, based on differences in how and where the remains were left.
I hope these maniacs are caught soon!

The upped it 5x:

Quote:
The previous reward in the case was $5,000. The largest previous reward offered by Crime Stoppers was also $5,000, and the largest reward ever paid is $2,000, for information related to a homicide case.
But yeah it doesn't seem like a lot all things considering.

I think your confused here. That's what county is offering for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator(s) and conviction. 25k for being a snitch a 25k phone call is a lot of money

There not asking you to solve the case yourself here

If Suffolk County is offering that much, all leads must be turning up to dead ends. Add the political pressure, their certainly under gun with this case.

I don't think this case is going to be solved.

This isent like a gang hit where Mr Gangbanger goes around bragging on his Facebook page that "Yeah yo I popped those homies at _____ last week! Word son!!!!!!!!!!!" and then everyone can see it. Serial killers usually don't go around talking about their exploits.

True, but they usually don't just stop either. This guy will strike again and will make a mistake eventually.

We can hope.

My fear is that these killings were carried out by the same freak who killed the 4 prostitutes found murdered in Atlantic City back in 2006. I don't think that the other 6 bodies are his/her work and are unrelated killings (Mafia hits, contracted killings, gangs, etc). He/she seems to have a thing for killing hookers and dumping their bodies near beaches on barrier islands. My guess is that they will also find 4 dead hookers on Cape Cod, or maybe the Outer Banks down in North Carolina, or even Florida's Space Coast.

They know who is behind it. It's been going on for years. Politics. Like we need another crappy movie. These guys don't want to work they want to make a quick buck. What a bunch of lowlifes.
