East Bay in Wantagh
Carle Place Diner in Carle Place... haven't been there in a while but I think I spent half of my high school years in that joint so it has a special place in my heart.

That diner in carle place is good, went there a couple of years ago on a whim and they had good food and a comfortable atmosphere.
Pequa's excellent. Never cared for pizza burgers though.
You sure about Spartan ??
Worst diner I have ever been to.
Gotta agree with Pequaman on this, Spartan does not impress.

The only other real diner in Farmingdale that I know is Turnpike Terrace on Hempstead Turnpike. While it's better than Spartan IMO, I'd call it average for LI.
Some would call Bollinger's on Main St. a diner, but it's not in the classic mode of an LI diner. It's more a theme '50's throwback.
Overall, I don't think diners, in general, are quite what they used to be in terms of overall quality. Maybe it's just me getting old and cynical, or it's the increased numbers of other quality restaurants over the years, that aren't that much more $ than a diner?? On the other hand, a good diner cheeseburger deluxe is always an enjoyable meal.
On that note, I'll toss in Celebrity diner in Syosset as an above average diner.
