Not to quibble, but the car DID crash. So...you know, you could both be right.
I meant not the ideal pkwy to be doing 100+ on. You could do 100 anywhere obviously...I would just pick the meadowbrook or 135 to avoid what happened to this kid (if it really happened).

Hence why you're able to be here posting and not being a papa johns road pizza

A Freeport man suffered who was driving at a high rate of speed on Ocean Parkway suffered a serious head injury when he drove off the road near the Jones Beach tower and hit brush Thursday evening, police said.
Dennis Jones, 32, of Freeport, was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow after the crash.
State Police said Jones was driving a black Hyundai Santa Fe east on Ocean Parkway at "a high rate of speed" when he lost control of the SUV, ran across the grass area of the traffic circle surrounding the tower and then struck brush along the south shoulder of the road. He suffered serious head trauma, police said.
So let's see, the original post had a 100 mph speed; on the Wantagh Pkwy; with a crash into the pedestrian area; and a fatality. About the only thing consistent with our friend's version is that there was an accident at that location. And that's the point. All of the stories seem to have "facts" that don't seem to reflect reality.
That traffic circle is the worst. Dopey kids don't know what yield means. They should have a trooper sitting in that circle all summer ticketing the idiots.
Lets remember that some people questioned (bashed) every aspect of the OP's story...over time, most details were proved to be accurate (yes, no one has been able to confirm a death, yet). Some people had over-the-top reactions about how the OP "was plugged into a different universe than the rest of us" calling, with authority, the overall post a "news" story - whatever that means. Bottom line is the OP reported a story with a few details missing but most ended up being accurate.

Ill get more details on monday if everyone likes.
