In addition to keeping the Islanders on LI and giving us the sports/ entertainment arena we deserve, if we vote yes tomorrow Charles Wang will pay for the cost of the election, roughly $2 million!!

For about $40 per household the county will own a new arena, provide hundreds of jobs to LIers, and give all of LI a venue for top notch talent. Only the truly blind fail to see this forest through the trees.

Vote yes for Nassau County tomorrow!!!

Nevermind the $2m referendum, think about the hundreds of millions in YEARLY revenue that will be lost once the Coliseum closes its doors...

Wang will pay the $2mill only if it passes. If it fails Nassau eats the cost.

Agreed, but how much more revenue would Nassau have had if Kate Murray and the TOH GOP machine didn't block the Lighthouse Project.

But then those wonderful people from Garden City would've had to look at actual, useful buildings instead of a decaying arena surrounded by 70 acres of asphalt. Imagine all those plebeians living in Wang's housing, lowering their property values... the horror!

You give your money to "WANG", the ALREADY self made millionaire!
Middle class people paying for Mr. WANGS venture just blows my mind!

Ohh, but we will have an arena for little Johnny....give me a break!

The county will own it, not you. There's a difference. Do you think you're going to see dime one in savings IF this were to get built and if suddenly the Islanders become an SRO attraction? You won't. The county will. But they won't pass it down to you.

Wow this picture looks familiar. Remember the last time Long Island was up in arms and voted to not go through with a project Shoreham How is that working out for us.

1. We pay the highest electric rate in the country
2. There is still no way off the island in the event of an emergency
3. There is a nuclear reactor at Brookhaven

The best part the is the wisdom used to pay off the plant. We will pay a little each in our bill to pay off the plant (not factoring inflation and the rising cost of electric) and we have a plant that after 30 years only half has been paid off. Talk about generations of debt all because no one wanted to pay for it.

You're comparing the lack of adequate power generation in the area due to dumb people being scared of nuclear plants to the taxpayers being snowballed into funding a sports arena for a billionaire?
