This is getting real old. You ask a question ... and then answer it (same question, same answer, over and over again.) You're simply offering your opinion with nothing to back it up and no argument other than "because I said so!" So what if you believe the job can be done cheaper? Your theory that qualified candidates would be attracted to the job for lower salaries will never be tested. Whatever you believe in this instance is irrelevant because you have no ability to change what is. Move on.

This is a very healthy dialogue.
It would be a shame to silence it.

Why not just turn off the poll and the sticky and see if it ventures into obscurity.

Unfortunately, this is not a dialogue. It is a series of diatribes without meaningful discussion. Posting an opinion over and over again provides no insight, no rationale and no cogent argument ... just a soapbox for someone with an agenda. Any attempts to question or counter that opinion have been met with derision and smart-aleck and inflammatory comebacks. This has been 28 pages of "I think chocolate ice cream is better...and I'll beat up anyone who doesn't think so, too." That's not productive. Nothing has been accomplished and it is likely that nothing will. Time to shut this down.

Id be suspect of anyone intent on silencing this topic.

There is at least one voice who REALLY likes vanillla and doesnt want to share their cone.

That they're overpaid, and specifically I wasn't such a big fan of pcd's "there's nothing you can do to change it anyway" comment.
