Wonder why Police Officers Never Smile - YouTube
Thank you for posting that. It so eloquently makes the point that I've been trying to for a long time: most people don't have a clue what cops do, what they encounter on a daily basis, and what they carry with them for the rest of their lives.

"They're not light and fluffy, are they?"

Too funny! Not a bad way to raise money for a sick kid.

It cracks me up when cops have a sense of humor about donuts. A few years ago my wife was in a 7-11 that had like four cops hanging around, another walks in and says "what's going on here, donut giveaway?"

Well 5 months after this thread was started the police are still nowhere to be found and the roads are still resembling New Delhi, India...

That's it for me guys, my house goes up for sale in the spring and I am out of this hell hole known as Long Island to some and "Wrong Island" to me. No matter how much money you throw into this situation the services will still be delivered by people who don't give a damn. Good luck watching your region of the country become the 3rd world nation these fools intend for it to be. Like most things in the New York Metro area, this situation is unfixable. You either become one of the rats or you escape from it. I'm choose the "escape" option, as most decent people have. All you'll be left with here is a bunch of ex-cons, gangbangers, and savages. Who the hell would want to pay the highest taxes in the country to support this? It's over, Long Island has been destroyed by lack of enforcement. Time to get the hell out and never look back at this place.

LOL. "The cops are still nowhere to be found" It will be sad to lose one of the few decent people we have left. Oh well, Buh bye. Of course, you probably aren't going anywhere.

With all the savages and gangbangers on the road, how will you even make it past the Nassau border alive? You're going to have at least 144 near-death close call accidents... You sure you wanna risk it? Call the NCPD and see if they can arrange for a motorcade to escort you out. You never know.

This has to be a joke. You're in Bethpage (where I was yesterday) and you claim this is a 3rd world nation. Reality called... they said good luck with your move to Bubblesville, Idaho.

Sometimes I think different people were put on this earth just to entertain the rest of us. It's the only logical explanation.

Haha, don't forget your coat Skylander.

You think it's bad here, wait until you see what kind of police protection you get in Hogswallow, KY. At least they have looser gun laws I guess.

Consider moving overseas if you're looking for strict enforcement of laws. I hear that China, Russia and a number of smaller third world countries have zero tolerance for lawbreakers.
