Don't kid yourself, teachers are not paid in the "humble" range on LI like they are in non-unionized public school states. Why do you think our property taxes are OUT OF CONTROL on Long Island and among the highest in the nation? I am not surprised in the least they are members of country clubs and yacht clubs on LI.
