I honestly don't know if there's even a difference, but looking for good recommendations around Nassau/Suffolk border. Don't think the health insurance listing differentiates.

That broadway smile on broadway in massapequa is a great choice. Highly skilled doctors and state of the art facility designed for kids.

I know people that use Dr Charlie Pillar in Plainview on Manetto Hill Road and are happy. I happen to use the dr that I grew up using but will need to switch soon b/c of his retiring.

I know this one!!! Drs. Hirshch, Ehrenman and Kahn in Westbury. (I may have misspelled a couple of those names!) They are WONDERFUL!! A really nice expereince for the kids. the office is all tricked out with fun stuff and they are excellent clinicians. My son had a cavity filled at 6 with not even a wimper. I cannot say enough good things about them. website www.kidsteeth4li.com

Asked my daughter and she recommends

Meet our Doctors | Adelberg Montalvan Pediatric Dental | Nesconset, Massapequa Park, NY

She likes Dr. Bennet and Dr. Pistilli, both in Nesconset. Check them out - description/bio of all their dentists

My oldest grandson is 9 and he's autistic. Apparently they not only have the skills but also the patience and demeanor to deal even with children who can be difficult.

We used Dr. Howard Schneider. He's on Main St in Huntington. His staff was very nice and he was great with the kids. He also takes "special" cases, kids who have difficult dental issues.

My daughter had some very bad experiences when she was 4 and 5. She was terrified of dentist. I spent about 2 years trying to find a dentist that would make her feel comfortable. I found a practice in North Babylon, Kiddsmiles. The whole office is set up for kids (i.e. video games, disney channel, etc.)They take their time. If gas is needed, it is given slowly so it has time to be effective. They also have an office in Manhasset and Holbrook. My daughter had an extraction about two years ago. She didn't feel a thing. Good luck.
