I didn't even know there was an earthquake until Tommy Magano called and gave all his earthquake emergency tips.

How is it possible for a earthquake to occur along the eastern seaboard? I thought we were no where near to a tectonic plate.

There are faults on the eastern seaboard. There is a fault by us called the Ramapo Fault. Some studies state it can cause a 6.8 or 7.0 earthquake . Which would be horrible because a lot of buildings around here aren't built to withstand earthquakes.

The one that happened in virginia happened along the virginia fault zone.

My goodness I really cant believe the news is plastered with this small tremor
Wouldnt you think the media would have more important pressing issues besides a bump in the day in New York or the East coast?

Come on

Typical example of the hyperbole media

New York , Get over it !
Natural occuring small things happen
wind storms cause more damage

all I can say is DRAMAAAAAA like some other posters

Well, we need filler for our news. We don't have all those corrupt politicians like Chicago and Illinois does to take up the first 1/2 hour. Ours are just useless, and that's not news.
