Massapequa to JFK in 30 minutes is very possible. I just did that recently via the SSpkwy driving normal (65ish)... you could even do it in 30-35 taking Sunrise if there's no traffic. But that final stretch from JFK to Bensonhurst is a minimum 20 minutes... Unless youre doing 100 on the entire Belt and the only car on the road, there's no way tapdatazz did that total trip in 35 minutes.
OP, there's no way around your commute. You're taking the fastest route as it is. Maybe invest in a GPS with real-time traffic conditions so you can take alternate routes -- for instance, maybe the Van Wyck up to the Grand Central if you see the Southern State is jammed... Or the other route people mentioned: Kings Hwy to the Jackie Robinson if you see the Belt is a parking lot... etc, etc.
true but the LIRR to locust manor for Q3 is just as fast for reaching jfk

I'd definitely do that if it was me leaving. But picking people up with luggage, it's much easier to drive.
This was a good suggestion qj:

Ohh by the way pennsylvania ave is a parking lot don't bother.
How long would that take for the OP? right around 2 hours on the nose if I'm right? This may be your best route OP.

pequa to jfk 25 minutes flat.
as for me doing it in 35 minutes, I did it all the time. sure, i drove fast but no where near 100mph, i know your exaggerating when you say that. 65 tops is my speed. I did it for 12 years. it can be done. dont doubt what you never did before.
So you,re saying from pequa to jfk is 25 minutes....and then only another 10 minutes to bensonhurst. Thats a bunch of BS...or maybe your watch never worked

Impossible.
JFK to Bensonhurst is ~20 miles.
Let's say you get lucky & avg 60 mph. That's 20 minutes.
Which means you would've had to been doing 120 mph for 10 minutes straight to do that stretch in 10 minutes. Give it up guy

I would say even less from pequa to jfk on a good drive.
Driving back and forth between these two areas since 92 I can tell you 35 minutes is possible; its only 35 miles, is it the norm, absolutely not. More often then not your sitting in traffic most of the time Try making that trip from Brooklyn to LI at noon or later during the summer.
Unless your driving a monster truck where you can run over cars its not going to happen. Plus with the construction near the draw bridge and the tight lanes you always run into issues there.
