people went for the experience of being in a theater but who wants to pay $12 for a movie when you can pay less than that for a whole month's subscription delivered to your house? Not anymore...
I don't remember the last time I went to a movie on LI. When I am in VT I frequent a local opera house which is huge, has a balcony and a large screen. It's a real throwback to the old days. Love it!

MOVIE PRICES:
Friday-Monday: $5.00
Tuesday Bargain Night (Sept-May): $3.00
Get Our Triple-Up... A Medium Popcorn, Soda & Any Candy for Only $5.00
Small Popcorn On Monday Night... Only .50 Cents
As a family of 4, we're paying $30 to go to the movie with treats. The medium popcorn there is the size of a large bucket on LI. The kids take the sodas, and my husband and I get water which is free.
Granted, the movies have already been out, but they do get some as they premiered like Harry Potter and Avatar.
Can anyone remember the last time they went to the movies on LI with their family and paid $30 for 4 people, 2 large popcorns, 2 candy, 2 sodas and 2 waters?
I guess you don't go to the movies ever then, because that is cheap compared to all the other bigger movie theaters like the Arches right down the road.
No off of the LIE, anyway I was there twice. Never cared for that theater,I like the Island 16 in Holtsville. On Tuesday nights it's $6.00 movies. We have gone twice since august. The seats are really comfortable and it's not crowded. Do we really need another Lowes??

It's been a while, I figured it was LIE or Northern State
Personally I'd rather a Lowes over a Loews.
