Scary thought that the Chairman of LIPA has decided that we should start restructuring our community. I can see the validity of merging the school districts. However, make no mistake, for every dollar that we would save of overlapping resources we would lose two dollars in inefficiencies. The problem is not the small increase that added administrations give us, it's the huge burden that is pension and benefits costs. Scale that back and you'll relieve some of the burden that is sinking Long Island.
