I pay 82.65 (69.99 + taxes) for FIOS triple play. Includes 3 HD boxes and 1 Multi-room DVR. My cable bill went from about $115 to $150 after their triple play ended, I got them to drop it to about $125 so I stayed a bit longer. Now they send me deals for a 69.99 triple play same as FIOS. You can just keep switching back and forth if they won't drop their price at the end of the triple play.
We are lucky, this is one of the few things that is much cheaper in LI then in most of the country thanks to competition!!
I think you got the best deal here. A few other posters got theirs just above $100. I have Fios double play (TV and 15/5 internet) with 1 HD DVR box and one multi-room HD box. I use free Ooma for phone service. I pay around $90 with tax. How did you get only $82 for triple play???
Seems like am paying the most, My last bill with fios triple play was $158.88, I have the triple freedom essentials which included long distance, non published # service, HBO/starz ent pack, 1 hd box and 2 digital adapter boxes, not digital but still get every channel,I think the phone service for us is more expensive than the cable and internet part. The phone alone is like $104.99. I have had my service 2 1/2 yrs. When we first got it it was like $125.00 a month for all 3
Yeah seems like some of you are paying a lot less than I am. Thanks for the replies.
well you get what you pay for if you want top of line then you pay through the nose if you get basic then it's cheaper. You and I are paying the most it seems. But we wanted the gold package. My husband watches alot of TV and getting the movie package was a plus for us.
I only have HBO so it's not like I have that many channels. I don't even really watch tv so I'd like to pay less. Just seemed when I called Verizon that the deal they were offering for fios right now isn't going to save me much money so I will probably hold off on switching until they send me a better deal.
VERIZON FiOS DOUBLE FREEDOM Double Play Package
Starting at $74.99 a month - for 12 months +taxes & fees
FiOS Internet 25/25 Mbps
FiOS Digital Voice
*Unlimited local and long distance calls within the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
I'm paying $86 a month which includes taxes.
We don't have any interest in TV, so we chose to skip it and put the money towards getting faster internet service instead. The phone, I must have unlimited domestic as I have family all over the U.S. I like to stay in touch with. For the few times I require international calling I use hubby's cell phone plan, which allows 100 minutes(?) of international calls per month, so I can't say what Verizon FIOS might charge for that, which isn't covered in my plan.
So far so good, no issues with the services or billing. We recently passed the initial promotional period and they tried to raise our bill by $11 a month. My hubby got them to agree to leave it at the promo price for 2 more years with no contract. I like the no contract bit, easier to shop around and switch if I find a better deal.
