Default Thought-To-Be Extinct 9-spotted Ladybug found in Amagansett

According to CBS New York, a surprising discovery in the Hamptons has scientists “buggin’ out” ... It was a 9-spotted ladybug, which was believed to be extinct in New York. It had not been seen in the state in 29 years. The finding at Quail Hill Farm in Amagansett caused a flurry of activity.

I personally prefer 6-8 spots, 9 is just too much for me.

On a slightly more serious note, the article says they prefer dry climates. It's interesting they would be on eastern LI...especially with the past 3 years being wetter then normal.
