This morning I was stopped by the nypd and had the tsa swab my briefcase, I was really annoyed this is the 5th time for me over the last two or so years, I am all for being vigilant, and our law enforcement professionals do a great job, but I can't help but think are we turning into a police state, because of these terrorist lowlifes, I travel a lot via subway and transit and pass through many stations per day.
...and yes - much to my chagrin we have become a total police state. It's not "coming" - it is here, and anyone who is bumbling on about how "its better safe than sorry" has just taken the bait hook, line, and sinker and I wish I could be as complacent as you are. The constitutionalist inside me just won't allow it.

Why don't you live outside the United States for a while before you start blathering on like your typical uninformed liberal that the US is a police state. Typical uninformed reactionary rhetoric.
Oh yeah, exactly..some government official in NYC sat there and said..lets check bags at the subways so we can let them know we can F%&k with them. Yep...that happened. Im sure.
