Okay, looking for feedback-if you were choosing between two houses, one in Harbor Hills section of Port Jefferson, the other in Miller Place-pretend they were equally priced and equally nice-which would you choose??

Most important factor is the schools, quality of life for the kids...

TIA!

IMO Miller Place has substantially less question marks/drama right now.I also think its a bit more upscale these days too(Belle Terre aside).

The LIPA funds drying up would scare me right outta PJSD vs just about anything right now.

You can enjoy all that PJ has to offer from the comforts of MP anyway.

Good luck

A PJV code enforcement officer was jumped (late at night) in one of the village parks by a gang of thugs.

‘It’s too close to home’ for Port Jeff resident

LIPA's assessment was reduced which cost the village over a million dollars.

As much as I like PJV, I would lean toward buying in MP - assuming everything is the same between the two homes.

I'd choose Port Jeff.
That way you can hop on the Celtiq Quest fishing boat whenever you want!

Can't go wrong that way.
Good luck.

Yeah most of the town is very nice, but there are strange areas in EVERY town.

True but MP is really consistent.

I'd liken the choice to Huntington Village vs Dix Hills.

PJ mayve lost a step or or two over the last few years as MP shifted from working class to more upscale.

I like them both for different reasons but the net net for me would be advantage MP.

Thanks for your feedback-anyone else want to weigh in?
Would love to hear from someone that lives in either area-thanks.

I vote go south to Blue Point

IF she can afford the taxes in MP she can afford the taxes in bayport bp which is hard to beat.
