The guy and his elderly mother were home during the invasion, so it appears it was random, and not well surveilled and selected due to a drug activity. Luckily, no one hurt. According to the story, that GN neighborhood has been getting hit recently. They need to get boards across those back doors and windows

I do not recall any housing projects in any of the 13 communities (9 villages, 4 hamlets) that make up the greater Great Neck community.

Did this happen recently? I live in the area code 11020. I remember there were a few break-ins last year too in North Great Neck? Why are the crooks targeting Great Neck?? A few weeks ago there was a robbery in Manhasset too and the chase ended in Lake Success and Little Neck.

So him and mommy are Israeli weapons dealers and the home invaders were looking for guns and money. Makes sense as the VAST MAJORITY of home invasions are targeted because they need the victims to be home in order to get the victims to open a safe or show the hiding places of valuables. Criminals would much rather have the burglary victims NOT AT HOME if the house is not targeted as having specific types of valuables hidden in them.
