That's why a perfect climate is the marine climate on the West coast. In San Francisco, there is no air conditioning needed because it never gets above 72 (and that is only in September) and rarely dips below 45 even in January . That is sweater weather everyday of the year and perfect for me, anyway.

I have been trying to talk my husband into moving to New Hampshire for 2 years. I could sell my house on LI and buy something with more sq. ft. and much more land for the same price. Exeter, Durham, Chester....all excellent schools. Close enough to Boston that you won't miss the city.....and close enough to the shore so you still have the ocean. Great skiing and snow mobiling too!! And a lot less congestion. He is stuck on Long Island. Doesn't want to move north or south. And by the way.....I just got back from Orlando, FL last week. If you like sweating your behind off much of the year, I guess it's a great place to live. I'll take going north any day over going south!!
