True alot of the wood at HD and Lowes are press board or low quality wood. Does anyone remember Skoblisky's lumber yard in Franklin square? it was right by Franklin General Hospital. Also the lumber yeard in Lynbrook near hot skates is that still around?

lumber yards are quik to fill an order where department stores are slow to get the product out plus they dont ship to the site were the lumber yards too.

If you are referring to the lumber place on the corner of Merrick Road and Ocean Avenue, yes, it is still there.

Generalize much?

A quality builder will use quality materials as it's their reputation on the line and that, too, can impact the bottom line.
