Here's a link, the data is old and includes housing boom data. Therefore it includes inflated housing, which has now came down, but we can assume income remained flat from that period until now.

It's clear that it's a premium to live here when the median property tax is $9k and is the 5th for taxes as a % of income.

If for nothing else, thought others might be interested in the link. At the bottom there is a link to export to excel and have the ability to sort and view differnt rankings.

The Tax Foundation - Property Taxes on Owner-Occupied Housing by County, 2005 - 2009, Ranked by Taxes as Percentage of Home Value (One year averages)

Nassau County:
Taxes as a % of income: 5th right behind Bergen County NJ.
Median property taxes paid on home: 2nd right behind Westchester County
median home value: 18th
Median income for home onwers: 17th

Elimination or reduction of deductions (federal) for real estate tax, mortgage, state income tax among others, is being considered as part deficit reduction. The feeling is that lower tax states like North Dakota, pay a greater share on the federal level through lower of tax deductions.
