I have some elderly relatives who are in need of dental work but are barely surviving on Social Security. Does anyone know of any program (maybe a charity or county/state sponsored) that assists people of limited means with dental services? Thanks all!

North Shore/LIJ has a dental clinic that I have used and am very happy with. I don't know what med plans they accept but it may be worth a call 562-4525. NSLIJ - Dental Medicine at NSUH

Catholic Charities and the Nassau Health Care Corporation offer dental services as well Nassau County, Long Island New York

Both Nassau & Suffolk have agencies for Older Adult services that can offer referral services:
Nassau Nassau County, Long Island New York
Suffolk Suffolk County Government - Office for the Aging (http://www.co.suffolk.ny.us/departments/CountyExec/aging.aspx - broken link)

Have your tried Operation Smile or the Smile Train? Both are tremendous with individuals with cleft palate.
