My internet is far much better than what I had seen at my fathers house, its laughable. Even the commercials state that they are 3 times faster than verizon. I guess if thats false, verizon has a lawsuit!

Yeah they have.

Exclusivity contracts so people can't get that 79$ FIOS deal

Fios came out, washed the dishes and gave me a foot massage. Cablevision broke my windows and shot my dog. Fios is way better. Verizon is Godlike. Cable, the anti-christ.

Not with the consumers. With the towns. It is rumored (highly rumored) that the Dolans have little backroom deals with certain politicians to block Verizon from entering their fiefdom's using unrealistic demands that the company would have to fulfill (but never would/could) before the politicians would allow them in.

If kay says it, it's 99.99999999% true. The only thing missing is an admission by the Dolans.

Well, I had Io and I have Fios. My internet is stronger and, more importantly, doesn't drop out all the time making me unplug the modem, reset it, replug it in....oh, we all know this song. It's the CV customer service anthem.

But maybe it's your area. I'm sure geography factors into this. What part of massapequa are you in (generally...not a street address or anything)?

See, now I'm mad at Verizon. All I get is internet, TV and phone. I'm still doing my own dishes and my feet ache. What tier package did you sign up for???

hahaha

I thought it was actually true.. is it really just a rumor? Brookhaven, Long Beach, etc. all cannot get FIOS yet surrounding areas have it.

Well.....has it even been confirmed in print? I've never seen it myself, but it could be out there. Does that mean it's just a rumor? Oh, heck no. However, if it's not in print, you and I both know He Of Many Names will have the hissiest of fits.
