You are more likely to find an HOURLY rate hotel in that area! I can't imagine anyone wanting to stay there a full week

Go up to the hilton in melville or the best westen in mass park. There is nothing you would want to stay in amityville

There's an extended stay america off of rt110 in melville you may wanna try there.

It does not have to be in Amityville. We just need something cheap. He will need to stay there for a couple of months while we look for some place for all of us.

If this is for his job, is his company unable to provide some input? I would tell him to ask his HR department. If it's a national company and he's transferring, someone at their headquarters or his new branch here should have information, and if it's a new job with a local company, they know he's coming from out of state and should offer to at least provide suggestions.
