What was it for, did you get a ticket, how much was the ticket?

If you didn't, what excuse did you use?

Going thru a stop sign in a school zone about 3 days before we moved and I had a million things on my mind. There was a cop right there. He asked if I knew what I did and I said "I must have gone thru a stop sign. And I know there's a school there. I'm really sorry" and he said "be more careful and have a nice day".

Sherriff Bing-Bing-Bing Ricochet Rabbit pulled me over on the LIE for talking on my cell. I blew some smoke up his ass by telling him how much respect I have for law enforcement and that I was actually on the phone with the telemarketer from the PBA who was taking my donation over the phone - he laughed, smiled, and let me go.

NJ about 2 years ago by a NJ State Trooper. I was clocked at 89 in a 55 mph zone. Uh oh. The way the trooper appeared behind me (outta no where) on a dark, lonely stretch on a highway, with no lights, freaked me out. Rather than being a dope about someone riding my bumper, I put my signal on, and moved to the center lane. And then he followed. I did think of using the old step on the brakes trick (remember, I had NO idea it was a cop) to get him to stop riding me - but since there was NO ONE around, I was honestly getting scared that I had a serial killer messing with me. When I signaled again to go into the right lane, that's when he lit up the lights. I was actually relieved it wasn't a modern day Jack The Ripper.

When he got out of his car and came over to my window though, I gave him my best Sister Margaret Mary impression and dressed him down for scaring the life out of me. He was a good 10-15 years younger than me. While saying "WHAT were you THINKING" by not identifying himself immediately as a cop, I managed to drop in how my 4 cousins who were NYPD had warned me about someone trailing lone women like that. I ended up with a $25 fine for the air freshener hanging from my rear view mirror since it is recognized as a sight obstruction under the law.

It really was my lucky day - and I know that.

doing 75 in a 50 on the Clearview dragstrip... err I mean expressway. Just got off the LIE so it was basically the same speed I was doing there. Regardless, I broke the law and got busted for it... probably could've gotten away as he was idle on shoulder with plenty of cars in his way as I zoomed by. But I knew I was busted and just did the limit until he caught me. Blacked out Charger rolling out can be a bit intimidating.

Anyway, because it was the notoriously difficult TVB Queens, I used a lawyer to get it reduced to 4pts instead of 6 (which would've carried the $100/yr for 3 years law) on top of the fine. In the end I spent about $500 on it and insurance never knew. Won't go beyond the flow of traffic again... tough to keep from doing it on the dragstrip there. Was an expensive day getting to that kids' bday party.
