Hello Everyone.
I am being told that children can be bussed in only from some neighborhoods (RVC, Garden City, Great Neck, etc...)

Is that correct?
I always thought that children can be bussed in from any town. IT would simply be a matter of making the proper arrangements w/ your school district.
Anyone know how this works?

You are only entitled to free busing if your pick-up location is within a certain mileage of the school. The distance is different for elementary school children and secondary school children. This is prescribed by the state, not the school district. You will have to contact your local school district to see if you qualify for busing and as you mentioned, they make the arrangements with the bus company.

I worked with someone who went there, he was from the 'hood in Westbury. Where do people come up with these stories??? As Coney said, most school districts provide transportation within a 15 mile radius. School districts provide private school transportation, not the school itself.
