That reminds me of this Kia commercial:

New Kia 'This or That' Soul commercial (featuring the 'Hamsters') - YouTube

I never understood how Kia got away with calling blacks hamsters (a racist term of yore). Because their hamsters were so cute?

I was specifically referring to the East Massapequa that is subject to Amityville Schools, east of Carmans Road (as I stated in this thread). Not Walter's East Massapequa Proper which encompasses some of the nicer parts of Massapequa.

I have friends who live in Merrick that tell me the area is not that great any more, but in fairness, they do live on Meadowbrook Road, near the buffer, where all the burglaries are/were.

WMD's!

Terrace Ave. had the open air drug trade going on not that long ago. Apparently they cleaned it up but I can't say for sure. It's not really one of my usual haunts.

I don't know if that particular part of Merrick was ever all that great. As far back as I can remember, it's always been kind of run down.

Not Walter's; it's the Nassau County Planning Commission's East Massapequa, as used by the Census Bureau.

Had to meet someone after work one day, told him to meet me at Terrace and Jackson. He called me from there

Friend: I'm here

Me: Where?

Friend: At the corner of Shot and Get Shot

Not a ringing endorsement. But very accurate.
