Thanks for the update! Ill keep an eye on News12 and Newsday for details. Maybe your neighbor is right, but murderers usually don't turn themselves in.

In an article I read online today the cops say it was Homicide. I cannot confirm 100% that the suspect turned himself in, I can only go by what my neighbor had heard through the town.

Thanks for the input. No word yet from SCPD.

The mystery surrounding his death hung over the gathering. Suffolk County police have said Underhill was a homicide victim, but no suspects have been arrested. Top Stories Item

I don't think it was a suicide.

Why do you doubt that being the case? I say that's a great possibility considering the number of gangs and gang members we have on the island.

I saw comments on news site that purported a peer murdered mr. underhill and the parents of said peer helped to cover it up.. who knows ya know?

i have not seen any news on a suspect turning him/herself in but lubby' neighbor says it? so my point is that news through the grapevine is correct ...sometimes

Because it would be nice to know that the police have a suspect in custody. I would imagine that the parents of the victim's friends might be particularly concerned. What if the murderer has a grudge against the whole group and goes after their kids, next?

There's always going to be more to a murder case than what appears in the paper, because releasing details is not always the wisest thing to do in terms of the investigation. But I wouldn't fault people in the community for being concerned and wanting to know what's going on.
