Not all school districts use it.

However we are looking for ideas/options on how to make the transition to moving our kids to Schools in Levittown and our commute into the city.

I have to be at work By 8am and my wife by around the same time. Anyone in a similar situation can offer some ideas on how we might be able to get our kids safely to school and still make it to work? Are there really early drop offs for the public schools in the area or services we might be able to take advantage of. I really don't want to have my children leave home on their own until they are ready. Would prefer being able to drop them off or have someone else drop them off to school if possible.

We will be in the Island Trees district.

Thoughts?

My school portion is 7K...overall I'm at 10 for a 4BR cape.

Awsome. Thank you. Since drop off would be at 7 we might have to hire someone or neighbors drop kids off.

Okay, so you're paying through the nose like everyone else around here. Sorry.

grats on the twins, ours are 3.5 now and just started pre-school this Sept. We looked at some pre-schools that had early drop-off, as early as 7am. This was one in Syosset but I'm sure you can find some closer to you... they exist. The biggest problem is the whole-day thing where you'll probably be home late too.
