Not always true about summer deals anymore. Sometimes they just have zero stock in the summer. Deals come and go all the time as long as it's BEFORE the first heavy snowfall. Check out weekly circulars, look online, etc. Lots of online deals with free "ship to store" i.e. buy it online, then pick it up in the store (Sears, Walmart, etc). Never too late, in fact now is a good time as they stock up and don't want to get stuck with excess inventory if the winter is mild. I waited 5 years to buy one and I have a corner property. The day I first used it I was so happy and excited I did the whole neighborhood! Best money ever spent.
I see them still in stock in many stores,Home depot, ace hard ware etc.I read some where that Home Depot has some name brands like Toro,Airens etc made with cheaper parts or less features than original models so they can price them cheaper, not sure if that is true.
never hurts to check walmart, or even ebay. Just make sure to do alot of research especially if you buy from ebay, Make sure the seller has good reputation and quite a few deals under their belt.
I got a snow blower at sears 2 years ago on layaway. Made my first payment in november, last payment just before Xmas, then it snowed all winter. I'm sure sears till has a lay away policy. You can make payments according to the weather forecast
Paco and the gang come by every major storm and charge $40 to dig me out. At that rate, it'll take quite a few years to pay off a blower. In the meantime I can sit inside instead of filling the damn thing with gas, pushing it around, and then having to use a shovel on my walkway and stairs anyway.
