I know this was posted a page or 2 back but I could not let it slide pequa.

Did you really just put Wading River and Centereach/Selden in the same catagory as Brentwood and Wyandanch. Come on man...Wading River is lightyears away from the dirty danch or CI or anything that bad. I don't see how your grouping these all together.

I'm dissapointed!

To a nitwit, maybe.. I see your point - lots of nitwits out there.

You can ignore the other notables all you want as I'm sure you have nothing going on in your town.
Where are you from again?

Now you're just trolling. Either answer where you're from, or go away.

Since Suffolk is extremely larger than Nassau of course there will be more "dumpy" areas but it also depends on the demographics of the area, which nobody talked about.
Suffolk is bigger than Nassau, yeah, but it's similar in the amount of villages and hamlets (and population). Youre not making any sense here. Land area is irrelevant.

Nassau has areas like Hempstead, Roosevelt, Freeport, Elmont, Valley Stream, Glen Cove and New Cassel which is predominantly african american. (with the exception of Glen Cove, which is predominantly Dominican and Central american).

Both also have their white trash/redneck areas as well.....Suffolk claiming Shirley and Mastic and Nassau claiming a lot of the south shore towns. (such as the ones just mentioned).

So its all of what you prefer....each county has its not so decent areas.....
Okay. It's obvious you haven't really seen most of Nassau. What area in Nassau south shore does Nassau "claim" as their white trash/redneck areas that are like Shirley and Mastic??!?? This should be interesting. And your demographics are off , as I_Love just mentioned.

I also do not like the fact that most houses in Nassau have that same cookie cutter design, no property, and that your neighbors can peer through the window and see what you are having for dinner every night...
What's funny is, you're talking about the Town of Hempstead only. Have you seen properties in the Town of Oyster Bay and Town of North Hempstead? The other 2/3rds of Nassau? There's plenty of 60x100, 80x100, 100x100 to half-acre properties in the hamlets/villages in both those Towns with extremely private backyards, large roads with sidewalks, sewers and no major areas with cesspools. People exaggerate the space that exists in Suffolk. My Village, and most of the hamlets/villages in Town of Oyster Bay & North Hempstead are similar in lot sizes to most of Suffolk. Explain that.

See above. My backyard has plenty of privacy; and to be honest, I think 80x100 is plenty of space -- unless I was gonna put a pool in or some other major project, I don't even think I'd want more than that considering how much landscapers charge these days.

This thread has come to resemble a bar fight (sans guns) in Patchogue.

Dumpy boonies, not too dangerous though like CI/Danch.
Do you think Wading River and Centereach/Selden are that much nicer than RP?

The fact that most people who posted on this thread don't frequent Patchogue, or its bars for that matter, make it a better place.

So I guess the thread has some merit.

I had to go to Centereach over the weekend. Depressing and glum...not too different from much of that central SuffDump area. Not that its much nicer in RP....perhaps a bit less glum.

Wading river is much much nicer than RP, and Centereac & Selden are on par with RP.

Take a look at house prices and taxes in the brookhaven side of Wading River - not the side that goes to riverhead schools.

The TOB side is very very nice.

We're going off the rails on a crazy train!

Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train with lyrics - YouTube

Will the first multi-millionaire or billionaire LI C-D poster truly "living the $$$ LIFE" cast a stone at someone else's LI community? Nobody who posts on here is a major (or even minor) bigshot. Get real. I hate snobs, but what I really hate is people who are snobs WITHOUT A REASON. How many of you cannot afford to buy the home you grew up in? I admit I can't. And even if I paid cash for it, I wouldn't want to pay those taxes anyway.

Centereach for the most part is a normal middle class area with lots of shopping and resturaunts and also very convenient and close to major roads.

I don't see why its so depressing, its actually pretty lively. You Pequa boys are starting to make me wonder
