Your sophistication is mind-numbing. Answering a question with a ridiculous question? - ok, got it.
I wouldn't disclose my location either if I were living in Suffdump. Take your ball and go home now.

BTW, Joey B lives in LA; Amy Fisher grew up and went to school in Bellmore and now lives in SUFFOLK (around Holtsville I believe).

Like I said, Nitwits.

Amy Fisher has deteriorated while in Suffolk, eh?

What's tackier? A crazy and stupid teen with a gun in Nassau or a porno actress in Suffolk desperate enough to have a "boxing Match" against the Octomom? (Even WORSE: Octomom won!)

Say it ain't so, Pequaman!

Never knocked Franklin Square. I'm saying that pequa used to be the boonies to people from Western Nassau. No worries, RP is still a dump.

As far as most of the town of Brookhaven, I am going to have to strongly disagree as there are many very nice towns/hamlets/w.e u want to call them within Brookhaven.

Check out Stony Brook, Blue Point, Setaukets, Manorville, Eastport, Lake Grove etc etc.

I know it's not indicative of everyone that goes there, but this resembles the bar scene in Hempstead or Jamaica, Queens.

Definitely true. Minus the nice areas mentioned in this thread, at least half of Suffolk is dumpy. Especially the huge swath in the center from Brentwood to Riverhead and most of the Town of Brookhaven.

Savaged, Massapequa's close to the county-line border, but it's still Nassau by a mile. It's only 20 minutes to get to the Queens border so I don't know how anyone could consider this boonies. Maybe 20 years ago it might've been considered "further out" on the Island but today? One thing we share in common with Suffolk is the properties here are bigger than the standard 40x100 in Central/West Nassau. Houses are not right on top of each other like Franklin Sq. and that part of Nassau. However it is still more like Nassau than any part of Suffolk (Western Suffolk is sort of like Nassau though).

Weren't you saying recently how your old home town (Franklin Square) was 10x better than RP ?? Now you're knocking it - I'm confused.

NYTom's stuck in the 80s

Suzook of the North, "Youre going the wrong way"!

You shouldve educated your kids in Stony Brook then moved to Patchogue.

As for the Superfund sites, they are everywhere but few are as sinister and Lawrence aviation.Just check the Googles, its a poopshow.

What it comes down to is that BOTH counties have their trashy areas, but since Nassau is much more bourgeoisie and has more arrogant people IMO they usually like to sweep under the rug the fact that they have towns like Hempstead and Roosevelt and parade around the fact they are closer to Manhattan and have towns like Great Neck and Brookville.

Since Suffolk is extremely larger than Nassau of course there will be more "dumpy" areas but it also depends on the demographics of the area, which nobody talked about.

Suffolk has more minority areas in towns like Brentwood, Wyandanch, CI, Bay Shore, Port Jefferson Station and Patchogue where there is a predominantly Dominican and spanish population.

Nassau has areas like Hempstead, Roosevelt, Freeport, Elmont, Valley Stream, Glen Cove and New Cassel which is predominantly african american. (with the exception of Glen Cove, which is predominantly Dominican and Central american).

Both also have their white trash/redneck areas as well.....Suffolk claiming Shirley and Mastic and Nassau claiming a lot of the south shore towns. (such as the ones just mentioned).

So its all of what you prefer....each county has its not so decent areas.....

It is also fact that most of the Nassau "border" towns like Elmont, Valley Stream, Floral Park, Hewlett, Woodmere, and Franklin Square are starting to look like Queens, but with double the taxes.

I also do not like the fact that most houses in Nassau have that same cookie cutter design, no property, and that your neighbors can peer through the window and see what you are having for dinner every night...

Agreed, where my mom lives I can see right into her neighbors kitchen. Where I live there is a good 100 ft from my house to my neighbors. He cannot see inside my house and I cannot see inside his. Plus many areas in Nassau have that small town feel where everyone knows everyone else's business. My mom lives in Malverne and she knows who's cheating on who, who got a divorce and who's kids got married because everyone in town gossips. I just want to live my life, in my house without the whole world knowing my business.

Exactly.....especially in towns like Floral Park and Franklin Square that are very close knit everybody knows everybody's business.

I like Suffolk more for the fact that there is a decent amount of yard space and property between houses and you can have a BBQ in your backyard w/o your neighbors seeing what you are cooking.

Yep, I agree. No one on my block knows my business and we do tons of stuff to our house, yard ect and I don't have to worry about Alice Kravitz snooping around. When I was getting married in 2005 my mom really did not tell anyone in the neighborhood except 2 neighbors but by the next week people who know my mom from town wanted to know why they weren't told. I hate that. MYOB.
