It might not be so bad being 20 something in Suffolk anymore.
Too bad I'm closer to 40.
The village is starting to resemble a college town at night. This is a good thing.
Yes Patchogue has been quite the bar hoppping paradise lately for 20 somethings... Every night I know at least a handful of people hanging out at the dive bars.
It's a good thing for local business...but not for residents that do not want all that noise in their town. Personally, I wouldn't live there on a bet.

I agree.
Watching Port Jeff fail of late and Patchogue thrive is something I thought Id never see.
Its actually more than just a drinking town, the local merchants, eateries, the Theater etc etc etc.

While i have always been a fan of patch village, to mention patch village and port jeff in the same sentence is a joke. Has pj declined? Absolutely! But they are still worlds apart.
You can not compare the whole of nasau to the whole of sufolk.
Most of suffolk is a dump compared to nassau. And besides..most of suffolk is filled with trashy people.
Do you really think people want to love in suffolk..they are just too poor to love closer to the city
