It might not be so bad being 20 something in Suffolk anymore.

Too bad I'm closer to 40.

The village is starting to resemble a college town at night. This is a good thing.

Yes Patchogue has been quite the bar hoppping paradise lately for 20 somethings... Every night I know at least a handful of people hanging out at the dive bars.

It's a good thing for local business...but not for residents that do not want all that noise in their town. Personally, I wouldn't live there on a bet.

I agree.

Watching Port Jeff fail of late and Patchogue thrive is something I thought Id never see.
Its actually more than just a drinking town, the local merchants, eateries, the Theater etc etc etc.

Hats off to Pontieri.

While i have always been a fan of patch village, to mention patch village and port jeff in the same sentence is a joke. Has pj declined? Absolutely! But they are still worlds apart.

But its an improving part of SuffDump. Nothing like watching a suffolk local trying to pull themselves out of the gutter

Have not been in a while but the Brickhouse Brewery is a nice spot and Blue Point Brewery's tasting room is right down the street.

Do you think neighboring Blue Point is a dump as well?

the suffdump is getting old...hows Hempstead, Roosevelt, Freeport and New Cassel looking?

Saying Suffump is just like saying Nassdump. There are both horrible and nice areas of both counties.

I would rather sleep on the streets of the worst part of Mastic then live in a mansion in Hempstead.

as much as I usually don't agree with Crooks - Queens east is pretty much dead on when it comes to 80% of Nassau...keep it.

You can not compare the whole of nasau to the whole of sufolk.

Most of suffolk is a dump compared to nassau. And besides..most of suffolk is filled with trashy people.

Do you really think people want to love in suffolk..they are just too poor to love closer to the city
