Just found out that our 5-year-old needs glasses. We've been to two opticians so far but their selection for kids, particularly little boys, is minimal...

Can anyone recommend a place that truly specializes in kids, i.e. has a big selection of little eyeglasses ? Willing to drive anywhere in Nassau, western half of Suffolk, or NYC to find a first pair of glasses that will fit him right. THANKS!

where are you located? There are many Davis vision centers on LI. I think there is one is RVC, also Bayshore Vision off of saxon Ave in the Khols shopping center has great selections for kids. What about pearl or Cohen's. I got my glasses at Bayshore Vision and was very satisfied.

Eyedeal in West Hempstead does a lot of pediatric, including infants, glasses.

I highly recommend my Opthalmologist Dr. Gary Hirshfield. We've been going to him for about 18 years now. He's in Queens but super easy to get to. (He's GREAT with kids!!) They have a nice selection of glasses too.
