I heard they hired a lot of people recently with low scores 75 to 80 from the last test because they didnt have enough time for a new one.

It takes YEARS before/if you get called. Tens of thousands of people take it. So, even 100% is really just an "OK" score since MANY get veterans pref. (an extra 5-10 pts. I believe)

I read a bit from the [URL="http://legis.suffolkcountyny.gov/bro/Reports/2011/Review_2012-14_Cap_Prog.pdf"]county budget[/URL], indicating that 39 COs would be transferred to the new facility when it opens, with a potential hire of 50 more, depending on retirements. I don't believe Corrections was involved in all the fighting with Levy and his vetoes last week, as the new facility was mandated by the state, but don't hold me to that.

At any rate, that's not exactly "a couple hundred."

Have you gotten your test results from November 5 yet?

Actually, only about 5,000 registered for the last one, and not everyone who registers will take it. That's not tens of thousands.
no I haven't received the results yet, I am sure I won't see that in months. Thanks for the info
