Thumbs up Chanukah is spelled this way

This is the correct spelling. Although it has different variations.

And the olive oil was suppose to burn for 1 day and lasted 8 days. Until they could make some more. It starts the night before the day at sun down.

Christmas Eve both sides of the N2S clan will be at our house awaiting Santa's arrival. Christmas Day will be spent at the inlaws.

"Hanukkah" and all of its associated spellings is what is called a "transliteration," since it is a Hebrew word. Therefore, the spelling of it is rather arbitrary, since Hebrew uses different characters. The "ch" at the beginning is meant to be the sound like when you're clearing you're throat, as this is a common sound in Hebrew. However, since we don't usually make this sound, the "c" has mostly been dropped.
