But seriously, my brother bought a piece of crap cape/ranch (those cheap bastard developers couldn't atleast throw in a couple doggie dormers) in Lindy. Make sure the house you are looking at doesn't have forced air either...my brother has to plug in space heaters in this tiny place. Also natural gas in your house would help you as well.
Huh? I was just suggesting to the OP, for about that $400K there are starter homes in Massapequa. Why buy a townhouse in Baldwin, when you can have a single family in Massapequa? IMO, a far superior place to call home. I was just adding, I can't afford it, but if I could, MatzohPizza or anywhere on Da Riv would be my choice.

Lindy has a real mix, some good values if you do the leg work. JM2C

Since you know for a fact its a much superior place I know it will be easy for you to list the reasons. Thanks in advance.

I am really not looking to start a debate here. Just asking for recommendations of townhouses in Baldwin and surrounding areas. I have personal family reasons for wanting to look at that area. I am subscribed to a couple of real estate listing sites so I know there are lots of single family houses and I don't really need help finding those. I came here to ask for help on the townhouses because those are more difficult to find.

Thanks.

I am sorry that I can't remember the name of the development, but there are townhouses along Sunrise Highway in Merrick. I think they are cooperatives, not condos. They were built duirng the 80s.

no debate here. mlsli.com should allow you to put in townhomes only and just restrict it to Balwin SD. It should give you the active listings.

There are only a few condos currently on the market in Baldwin; they're in the low $300's. Three are south of Sunrise and one south of Southern State. Taxes range from $8,100 - $9,900, plus maintenance charges, of course

Look into Krowne Baldwin Condo's (on Merrick Rd, Baldwin NY). They are townehouse style Condo's. All of the units have 3br, have 2 floors plus a basement and private patio's. There is also an inground community pool. Good luck!
