I don't need one. This Irish/Czech married a 100% Italian girl who has three different sauces/gravies/marinara that are equally incredible. She makes a Marsala to die for and my 38" waist is proof. We do though like to trek into the Manhattan to dine at one of Lidia's restaurants because she is my bride's idol. We even got to meet her briefly a couple years ago. Our favorite is Becco.
I have always wanted to go to one of lidia's restaurants but every time I tried to go they are booked solid. I'd love to meet her too, she is one of my favorite chefs. She used to own Frico Bar years ago, I went there but at that tinme I did know it was her place.
I was thinking of Mamma Zu's or maybe another place which i can't mention here
I don't really don't want to go downtown. DM me if have something local in VA. Was at Randazzos yesterday in Bklyn and flying back into VA in a few hours.
Go on website. Look at packages. Not sure they will do it for 20. We had about 40 people. Package 1 is the most expensive but it is around $40. Guests get choice of hot or cold appetizer. Can select from 2 pastas. Get to choose 3 entrees. Get dessert. Soda. Unlimited house wine. Extras can be added on. Liquor/Beer is separate. Can't beat it. The hot appetizers and linguini and white clam sauce is highly recommended.

My wife and I are looking for a nice Italian restaurant that has private dining that could accommodate 20 people for a wedding reception. It doesn't really matter where it is as long as it's on Long Island, but we'd prefer if it wasn't extremely far east, maybe around the Nassau/Suffolk border? The ceremony itself is going to be very small and will probably take place in my mother-in-law's backyard in Plainview. Everyone that is going to be there has a car and said they wouldn't mind traveling a little to go to a nice restaurant.
We want to spend no more than $45 per person.
My wife is a vegetarian so there has to be a few pasta dishes that don't contain meat (including fish, she doesn't eat seafood either)
We're considering doing an open bar type thing depending on the price of everything.
It'd be nice if it was on the water, but if not then that's okay as well.
Thats cheap. Shes your wife. She deserves more.
I can recommend Crest Hollow Country Club and Oheka Castle.
