This goes against the sign you saw, so who the heck knows what the plans are. Either Patch is reporting wrong or the county is not communicating their plans very well.
That sign has been there for over a year. The current 1st precinct is a dilapedated pos.

Day late and a dollar short, pequadude. The sign is a leftover from the pre-precinct consolidation plan. The 7th Pct will be renamed the 1st Pct later this year.

And by the way, it's "site", not "sight."

Exactly, it was a big old sign.

Keep in mind that there are a few people on this forum who happen to have a bit more insight into whats going on than a person who happens to pass an outdated sign.

So then if you know so much? Whats the story with the current 1st precinct? Staying as is?

It's supposed to be knocked down and replaced with a smaller 'community center.'
