Default commuting from Sayville and points east

Is there a website that accurately reflects commuting times from one locale on ther island to another?

I am interested in buying in Sayville, and commuting to Bay Shore. This is about 10-12 miles, but could take anywhere from 12 minutes (driving really fast) to 30 minutes.

Travel on the Island is based on time not distance - no website or person on earth could tell you that information. It will be different every day but should be consistent at certain times. So at commuter rush it might be 30-40 minutes, and on weekends maybe less.

Default clarification

Great, I know that about commuting in suburban areas. What I want to know is whether anyone has had experience making this commute from Sayville to Bay Shore, and how long it typically takes them, or alternatively, if there is a website where people report this kind of information.

Obviously, I can calculate the number of miles and divide it by the speed in MPH that I am driving....

I don't think I would be disputed that you will be driving different MPH every day at every intersection, every light, every potential accident, every weather condition, and every expert Mercedes driver you will encounter.... Sayville to Bayshore is cake compared to 90% of the commutes

Wow. That is for sure. I would not even consider that to be commuting.
You can just drive right down Sunrise or Montauk HIghways depending upon where it is you need to go.
