Anyone know what the deal is with the construction across from Dave & Busters? Are they making the airport runway longer or adding a new store???:confused:
That's in East Farmingdale ("Farmingdale, NY 11735" mailing address).
Being in Farmingale, means that a property is under the jurisdiction of the Village of Farmingdale, the Town of Oyster Bay and Nassau County; being in East Farmingdale means that a property is under the jurisdiction of the Town of Babylon and Suffolk County.

It has something to do with extending the runway for "safety". Some local groups seem to think that they're really trying to bring larger aircraft in. The Airport Commission vehemently denies that. Stay tuned.
