Would appreciate opinions too. We used to go to great place on Merrick Rd. (Can not remember the name) in Merrick until moved south in 99. Looking for same in same area or if place in Merrick still sells soup at like a soup bar he had in store. Always has 3-4 choices of different varieties to please all. Loved the Seafood bisque. The Veg. was great too for lunch. My hubby loved the NE Clam Chowder. The store also had excellent take-out orders. Catered type of meals and they were all great.

From Appy, Soup, sides, main dishes, dessert. We never had to have same thing twice. I did because loved it!!

I like the soups from panera bread. The creamy tomato, chicken noodle and cream of broccoli are very good.

My first post. and its about soup. LOL

Bagel Boss. on the corner of So Oyster Bay Rd. & Woodbury Rd. Has the BEST soups I've ever eaten.

I love their tomato swiss chard. & almost all of the others. and comes with a bagel/or bialy (and you can't beat those bagels at Bagel Boss).

Bagel Boss is good. Panera Bread is a second choice.

Hale and Hearty in Carle Place. Also there is/was a place called Souper Fry on Merrick Ave south of the Southern State. Haven't been there in a while though.

All great choices. We had soup at Panera when we lived in Fl. Only 1x...who want soup in So. Fla. weather?

Will try the Bagel boss near us. If get chance Souper Fry in Merrick. The soups they have a Pit Stop in Merrick on Sunrise are pretty good. Love the chili and Butternut Squash. I often get the lunch special wrap with soup and bev. Plenty of left overs make it a great deal. All their soups are pretty good.

I have found diners make great soups. Massapequa Diner.

Panera's are ok...when they're not loaded with a cup of salt.

Was going to suggest these exact two places. Souper Fry is particularly excellent despite the total high school dive atmosphere.
