Default Easiest way to drive from Suffolk to Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun area?

I usually take the ferry from Orient Point, but I have to leave extra early in the morning this time. Can you guys suggest the best way to go from Suffolk County to Foxwoods/Mohegan area? I'll be going about 3-4 am if that helps. I'd like to avoid tolls as much as possible. Not sure if that is possible though. Thanks for any help.

LIE-Cross Island-Throggs neck- 95 probably the most direct, but there are tolls, not sure if you can avoid them realistically with out adding hours.

Hey thanks. Yeah I know I can't avoid all the tolls, just wanted to make sure I pay as few as possible

Is the Throgs Neck the only toll going that way?

There will be 1 or 2 tolls no matter how you go.

That's sort of like the people that go into McD's and SuperSize their order than get a Diet Coke

You can avoid the Throggs Neck toll by taking the 59th street bridge to the FDR to exit 19 Willis Ave Bridge. Its going to add a 45 minutes onto your ride.
