My brother and his wife have excellent salaries, they live in Chicago.I agree though $700 a week is outrageous plus they are looking to buy a house.

I agree with you. However, my household bills are just too high. AFter daycare expenses, I will still have a few hundred left over for myself if I go back another day. Right now with 3 days a week, it's really tight. I may have to go back a 4th day even if I didn't have another baby.

Most families across the world have both parents working these days. The times of daddy bringing home all the money is long gone.

hmm
This is why my wife is going to become a stay at home mother when we have kids. daycare will cost more then what she makes in a month. It will be cheaper for her to just stay at home with the kids.

Get a public sector job, then daddy or mommy can make the dough while the other spouse stays home.

No but they could fit the bill too, now that I think of it. Actually was thinking of the "self-employed" crying over how expensive it is to do business here ... oh how my heart bleeds for them and their stay-at-home wives.
