Transverse is a cut through all the time because it's the only road that goes straight across the Mott, across Washington to the courts, avoids the school and park, and therefore it's the only alternative to OCR. And it's a good one. Hardly any stop signs.

I go the courts in Nassau all the time and cut through those roads..i also cut through the back roads to get to arbitrations which are held in those commercial office buildings across from Lord & Taylor on Franklin Ave. Dont expect quiet streets from 9-6 pm in that section because all my co workers and I use those back roads all the time!!

Hi there...have you checked out the houses for sale in Nassau Haven section (I live there). It's part of the Western section. Super-quiet and close to to train. I believe there's 2 on the market now.

124 4th Street in central section just sold for $735,000. That would seem to represent pretty good value

. . . or just a unique circumstance where a home had some major, major problem and its simply hard to use as a comparable.

Spent a lot of time in the house on Transverse Yesterday - although it's beautiful we're going to pass on it and let it go to market. I'm really curious how it will stand up. He's asking $427 sq foot for it ! I feel that is way too much for a starting point.

Long Island is unique in that Price Per Square Foot is not really used. Try not to get hung up on that.

you are thinking of 114 4th. Only material issues i see are location related: close to Franklin and across from Church parking.

Washington Ave. - traffic light
Lefferts Blvd. - 4 way stop
Wetherill Rd. - 4 way stop

It's the only alternative for whom? The people who work at the courts or are driving to the Mineola train station and live between Old Country Rd. and Wyatt Rd.? Because otherwise you can use Stewart or 11th St. And it's not a cut through for the mall, so who exactly is cutting through?

Also, why such comments about people who live in the Mott section?
