From a 2 year old? Something handmade. The handprint in plaster of paris or substitute is a good idea. Other standbys are a picture frame made from popsicle sticks or stiff colorful paper like tagboard. Take a picture of your child and print it out. Decorate the picture frame with buttons, beads, peel off stickers, whatever you want. You can also make a card with a handprint or footprint using finger paint. You could also poke around Michael's for some kind of prepared crafts kit that the two of you could work on together. Go online and google preschool mother's day gifts. You'll get 100s of projects.

From your 2 year old daughter? All she has to do is make her a nice mother's day card. A gift from you...well that's another story!
Concept question - why would we have to give a wife a gift for mother's day? It should only be from the kids, or if you're helping the kids. We already have a Valentine's Day! And we have our own mothers!

It's a two way street. Your spouse is the mother or father of your children. Why not celebrate the person (mother or father) who is half of that beautiful child you both love?
you are insane if you don't get the mother of your children a good gift. i get my wife bigger present on mother's day than on xmas. i mean by that logic, why give others gifts on baby jesus' birthday.

that's it, I'm not getting her anything for Valentine's instead then!
