LocoMexiCali????...... Sounds pretty hateful to me.
If your not better off than you were 8 years ago, don't blame others. Take a good look inward, find out what YOU have'nt been doing right. The govn't isn't here to hold your hand cradle to grave. Grow up.

You have to give it up to a higher power.

Jeepejeep--
Of course there will always be nice part of LI--gated communities and places no one under a certain social status or income can live in. I don't see THE HAMPTONS (the ones where the rich/famous/infamous) live and play going 'bad.' The same for other exclusive enclaves of the Island.
The rest will resemble a bad part of Queens.

If Long Island deteriorates further, which it will because of Spitzer's new act to allow illegals to get drivers licenses, I think I have to go. No point moving to another town on Long Island - the only solution is to leave.

That's not going to matter once Real ID takes effect. We're all (including immigrants, legal or illegal) going to be forced to turn in our driver license's and prove from scratch that we're American citizens to continue to be able to fly on planes. Your new driver license will contain an RFID chip that will enable the government to track your every move. Of course, anyone with an RFID scanner will also be able to track your every move. You can read more about Real ID here:
REAL ID Act - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I know this may be a bit off topic but it's important enough for every American citizen to read and understand.
